    I recently received an email from a rep from Smithfield Foods about a food tasting event happening in Southaven and they wanted me to come out. I was so excited to hear it was a food tasting, but I was left with 2 questions; What is Smithfield Foods and how on earth did they hear about my tiny little blog? 

     Through the power of Google, I found out that Smithfield is one of the worlds largest suppliers of pork and operates in 26 states!! So at this point, I knew that was big and a great opportunity!!

    The Chef's Table is a nationwide event for Smithfield to showcase their DURoC premium pork. The Memphis area was the 8th stop on this tour and the event was amazing!! It was held at Southaven's newest establishment, Steaks by Melissa, which is located at 4975 Pepper Chase Dr.

    Those were just a few of the offerings!! I enjoyed each item, but I must say the ribs were my favorite. The sauce was sweet and smoky and the ribs were very tender!!  

     I want to thank the fine people of Smithfield Foods for inviting me out and also thank the staff of Steak by Melissa for being gracious hosts! This is an event I won't soon forget. I have just one last question...

Where can I get more of those ribs??!!
