While playing around on Facebook last week, I stumbled upon an invite to Night Shift: Cirque du Takeover featuring Weightless Aerial Co. I was going to bypass it until I saw the lady on the flyer. (Clever marketing). Well, she pretty much sold it for me aside from the fact that I will try anything at least once. So I took the challenge and headed over to Theaterworks to check them out. I had to double check with the coordinator because the flyer stated an 11:59 start time, but that was not a misprint.

I must admit that I was a bit reluctant to go, but I'm so glad that I did! The show was actually very entertaining. They were serving Pabst for Christ's sake! Is there really a better combination than Pabst and a circus?? I will wait for your answer.

Here are some pictures from the show!

As you can see from the pictures, the performers are amazing! They were doing things that I would never attempt to do no matter how much you paid me. I really liked the comedy aspect of the show. That really did it for me and they definitely got the crowd involved. Hopefully they have future shows that are at more kid friendly times, because little aspiring gymnist and dancers would really love to see this show!

Weightless Aerial Co will be performing again at Theaterworks on the first Friday of the March at midnight. I highly recommend this if you're looking for something different and also fun. Check out Weightless Aerial Co Facebook page for more details and news by clicking HERE . Theaterworks is located in Midtown at 2085 Monroe.
