An Evening in the Garden

I recently went to Memphis Botanic Garden to attend their monthly Vine to Wine presented by iBeria Bank. This is an event everyone must attend at least once! What more can you ask for? There's live music, delicious things to eat, you can walk around the gardens, and the best part of it all.....WINE!! Lots of wine! This month's theme was the World of Wines.

I just love being outside on a nice warm spring evening in the Memphis Botanic Garden! There's nothing more relaxing and calming to get your mind off the workday or anything that may have your in a bit of a funk. You can truly get lost in the scenery!

There was plenty of delicious bites and I just have to say something about the sweets provided by Frost Bakery. They have a Memphis Creme cupcake that will instantly become your favorite. It is a banana bread cupcake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate drizzle! Please let me explain how amazing they made me feel. I had a bad day at work and these instantly gave me a new lease on life! Ok maybe that's a bit of a stretch, but they were incredible!

This event is the perfect getaway from the norm and also a great date idea....hint hint! Everyone was nice and friendly and the staff was very knowledgable about the different types of wine. Next month on April 26, the theme will be Shakespeare in Spring. That sounds very interesting. Maybe a Romeo and Juliet stage play! You can find more info about the upcoming events and also Memphis Botanic Garden by going to Tickets are $30 for members and $45 for nonmembers. They also have season tickets available! Tickets come with a voucher for 8 glasses of wine and tasting portions of dishes by local caterers and restaurants.

Proceeds from these events help us serve 35,000 school-aged children each year through organized education sip and support!
