Ok it's no secret that I have a deep love for Main Street. Its probably my favorite place in Memphis. It's the calm in the middle of fast paced downtown. A place to truly unwind while taking a stroll.

I had some time before Maddy got out of camp, so I decided to just take a little walk to relax. While it was a nice walk, it was also also very warm and humid!
My walk started in front of the new Halloran Centre for Performing Arts. This building is simply beautiful! I love the curved tinted glass front.
The next building was the MLGW Building right across the street.
By this time I had worked up a little appetite so I decided to stop by Maciels for a taco. This one one of my favorite places for lunch and I adore the garlic shrimp taco!
I don't know the history behind this building but I do know that I love the architecture. The heat was getting to me and I decided this was a great time for a quick drink.
I know this will sound weird but I'm a big fan of this shandy concoction that a friend told me about a while back. It's basically PBR mixed with Sprite and it's delicious! Trust me, just try it. Get a half glass of Sprite and top with PBR. It's kinda sweet and bitter, but refreshing on a hot day.
The heat was starting to get to me and the storm clouds started rolling in, so it was the perfect time to leave. I wish I had known the The Wizard of Oz was playing at the Orpheum that night. That will be another field trip for Maddy and I later in the week.
