So it's lunch time!! That's my favorite time of the day!! I literally look forward to lunch each day and plan my day around it. Finding a spot to eat is also a very hard thing for me to do because I can never really decide. I like trying new places, but I also have my tried and true lunch staples.

Today I visited a place I've been to once before about 2-3 months ago. I traveled to Whitehaven (Blackhaven if you're from that area), to Big Bill's BBQ on Elvis Presley Blvd.

I had to have the smoked salmon sandwich....

Shout out to Big Bill's!! Not only do the have an amazing creation of smoked salmon, slaw and BBQ sauce, but they are one of the few places that recognizes spaghetti as a side item!

Ok back to this sandwich. I don't think I have the words to truly describe this pillar of lunch excellence. The salmon was cooked nicely, the slaw has a nice crunch and taste, and the BBQ is sweet with a small amount of kick. I was so impressed with this sandwich!

Jumping back to the spaghetti. Where Im from (Westwood Memphis), spaghetti is a side dish. We eat it with fried chicken, fried catfish, BBQ, pretty much everything. I do remember as a kid my mom trying to serve it as a main and we were all disappointed.

This spaghetti is pretty good. It has a little kick from the BBQ sauce mixed in, but it's not overpowering at all.

I'm still very impressed it's served as a side.

All in all, I enjoyed my lunch getaway. The combo I got came with the sandwich, side, and Coke( yes everything in the South is a Coke) and came out to $8.73. Not bad at all for lunch. Go check out Big Bill's if you're in the Graceland/Whitehaven area. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. My next trip out I will try the pulled pork sandwich.
