So now that I've had a day to recoup, I'm able to write something about St Patrick's Day. First I have to mention that it's one of my favorite holidays. I'm not 100% sure who St Patrick actually is, but I love his holiday lol. Before I get a history lesson on St Patrick, I love this day because of the fun, diversity, and maybe the drinking.
This year we took our talents to world famous Beale Street. We wanted to make a stop by each bar, which seemed like a great idea in theory. We didn't make each bar but we had a great time! I woke up the next morning with a broken iPhone screen, a missing jacket, and a woman's wedding ring in my pocket.....A pretty successful St Patricks Day!
All photos taken with iPhone 7
St Patricks Day and you're on Beale. Where else besides Silky O'Sullivans would you go?
This guy wins best t shirt contest!!
And then we discovered $4 giant jello shots....
Then things got interesting. My sister Kelly decided to volunteer to have the Beale Street flippers jump over her.....
Fresh off her victory tour....
Next up was a trip to Ms Pollys! Ths was a mixed bag of emotions. I was a little upset that I ordered first but never got my food, but we all discovered that we all had matching tattoos!!!
Next stop was Tin Roof!! They had huge green beers for $3!! You can't beat that!!
Tin Roof also had a great life band. I didn't catch their name. You had to be there lol.
The next stop was to Twelve Bar!! I don't remember the drink specials, but I do remember the dancing!
This is also the point where I lost my jacket and I'm guessing where I broke my iPhone screen. After this we were in and out of Twelve Bar and Tin Roof. We even went by Dyers for a burger, which totally broke my Lent.
Now how I got a woman's wedding ring is a story for another day! Lol. It was a fun St Patricks Day filled with great people from the city and elsewhere. Now, I'm back on the couch and realizing I'm not as young as I used to be...
