If there's one charity I really love in Memphis, it has to be the Forrest Spence Fund. Not only do they provide a vital and selfless service to benefit families in need, they know how to throw a really good party. When you work as hard as they do to help out local families, you honestly deserve to let your hair down and have a good time. If you're unfamiliar for the Forrest Spence Fund, I will give you a brief overview. They provide assistance with non-medical needs for the families of children that are critically or chronically ill. That's an amazing thing that should be congratulated. You can check out more about what they are all about be heading over to forrestspencefund.org or by clicking HERE

This year's Spring event was held at the beautiful Memphis Botanic Garden. If you think the gardens are great during the day, do yourself a favor and check them out at night! You won't be disappointed at all!

Though I was a bit underdressed for the event, I made the best of it. There was food and wine going around so I doubt anyone noticed my chinos that I wore from work. The party was great, but the real purpose was to help raise money for the Forrest Spence Fund because they are a nonprofit organization and your contributions go to help a family in need. Sadly I didn't win anything, but I did have lots of fun. Live music, an open bar, and food is all I really need. I'm a simple man. I did do the door drawing of wine and got a pretty nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to take home. That's a total win in my book!

I encourage you to check out Forrest Spence Fund and to please consider donating to this awesome charity. Having medical bills covered is only a small part of the equation for these families. They are often faced with the hard choice of having to leave their child's side in order to work to take care of home. Forrest Spence Fund helps take away that worry so that these parents can focus on caring and being with their ill children. So please help if you can.  Here are a few more images from the night.
