A Mother's Day for the Ages

So my mom is better than yours. I've said it and there's no taking it back. I know you love your mom and she seems cool, but she just doesn't compare to mine.  So each year I try to do something my mom loves and mix in something totally new and different. This year we started out new with a relaxing day by the pool at The Guesthouse at Graceland.

As you can see, not only did my mom enjoy her pre-Mother's Day of relaxation, but she absolutely shut it down too! Did I forget to mention my mom being better than yours? LOL. My mom has always gone above and beyond, but rarely takes any real time to herself. So I figured this was a way she could just be less of a mom and more of just a woman for the day.

Sunday meant a trip to my mom's favorite restaurant, Rizzo's Diner on South Main. She is a crazy big fan of the lobster Pronto Pup. I highly suggest you go and try these out. Speaking of food, here's what Rizzo's had on it's Mother's Day brunch menu.

It was still early so we decided to catch a trolley from South Main to Blind Bear for their $3 mimosas! We also wanted to see one of my favorite bartenders, Brad Willson. While there, my brother in law and I created a new drink we call the Bro-mosa. More on that in another post!

That was our Mothers Day! I truly enjoyed my time with her and wouldn't have been anywhere else. Moms are incredibly special and I'm thankful to still have mine. How did you spend your Mother's Day?

I would tell you a funny story about my mom, but she would kill me. If you have any funny mom stories, write it in the comment section! I love hearing from you.

Life is for Living,
