I recently go to hang out with fashion blogger, Quaneshia. We've met a few times and she's always been very nice and as you will see, very stylish. We've both mentioned working together in the past, but with us both running blogs, things just didn't line up. Well that all changed a few weeks ago! We were able to finally link up and do a proper shoot and an squeeze in a quick interview.

How did you get into fashion and blogging?

I’ve always loved fashion, but I didn’t truly tap into my own sense of style until I went to college at The Dillard University in NOLA.

Blogging started at the suggestion of a friend who I would style ever time we went out. This was well after blogging started booming. That coupled with getting compliments on my style quite often opened the door.

How would you describe your style?

My style is classic and feminine with a little edge thrown in occasionally and splash of grown and sexy.

What is the most important aspect of fashion in your opinion?

I think individuality is the most important aspect. If we all looked the same all of the time, the world would be pretty boring. I love how 3 different people can use the same item and it looks totally different. That is the essence of fashion!

Are there any local designers that you've worked with or that have inspired you?

Andrea Fenise is a local designer I’ve worked with. She made a red romper that I love and can’t wait to wear again.

Do you have the inside scoop on whats going to be hot in fashion this spring and summer?

Inside scoop? I don’t know. Lol. But I do read a lot of magazines and know that gingham, bell sleeves, and mules will be hot this spring and summer.

Where do you shop?

I’m mostly an online shopper and my favorite stores are Nordstrom, JCrew, Banana Republic, ASOS, and Zara.

Any tips for the fellas?

Pay attention to grooming, shoes, and socks. We (women) love a good sock and shoe combo! Oh, and find some style influences that you love. When that happens, you can start to develop a personal/signature style.

What's upcoming with you and the blog?

Nothing major. Summer travel. Growing the blog. Continuing to try to change/heal the world one patient at a time (I’m a nurse practitioner by day).

Hidden talents or hobbies?

I wish I had hidden talents! Singing would definitely be one. I love reading. That’s probably the hobby I enjoy most. I’m getting into photography. And I’d totally be Martha Stewart if I had time. She knows how to do everything!

How can other fashion bloggers, designers, or lovers of fashion get in contact with you.

Email is probably the best way to contact me. Accordingtoq@gmail.com. Of course the blog, www.accordingtoq.com. And I’m also active on instagram @accordingtoq

If you could work with any designer ever, who would it be and why?

It’s very hard to pick just one! So I’ll go with Tracey Reese. I love her feminine aesthetic and she’s an industry vet. Also because #blackgirlmagic.

This was one of my favorite shoots with one of my favorite bloggers. Everything about Quaneshia exudes class and elegance. I'm truly honored to have captured these images for her.  Please give her blog www.accordingtoq.com a look for fashion tips around town. Also check her out on Instagram at @accordingtoq
