My Top 3 Christmas Movies

It's that time of year again!! The holidays! When I was a kid all I cared about was the presents. Shout out to my Poppa Bear for that Game Boy Color. It truly changed my life.

Stay on task Mike.

Ok so what I love the most about the holidays now are the Christmas movies. I truly look forward to seeing them. So I decided to share my 3 all time favorite Christmas movies.

 3. Die Hard

Yes, Die Hard! Contrary to what some might say, this is a Christmas movie. It takes place on Christmas Eve at a company party so that makes it a Christmas movie. What's more Christmas than saving your estranged wife and her coworkers from terrorists? Don't sleep on John McClane!!

"Yippie-Ki-Yay Mother fucker" enough said.

2. A Christmas Story

Who doesn't like this movie? I totally identify with young Ralpie. All he wanted was the Red Rider BB gun so he could protect the family! I mean come on! No one believed in him. I hear you Ralphie. I wanted some Reebok Pumps so I could jump higher and run faster, but I never got them. I could be playing for the Grizzlies right now if I got them. Thanks Mom and Dad.

What's not to love about this movie? The little brother in all the clothes is classic. The kid that got Double Dog dared was everything. That moment Ralphie let out that 4 letter word and blamed it on another kid!! Priceless. To this day I want a leg lamp!

1. Christmas Vacation

3 words: Aunt Ruthie's Cat!!

This is my all time favorite Christmas movie! The story of Clark Griswald and his family at Christmas. Clark reminded me a lot of my dad. He just wanted Christmas to be perfect. That's all he wanted. He tried everything to be make the day great, but nothing but shenanigans happened.

Such a classic. From Grace being dead for years during saying the blessing to Cousin Eddie kidnapping Clarks boss in the middle of the night, this movie is hilarious from start to finish. If you've never seen this movie, I don't think you've truly experienced life itself. It's simply the best!

So those are my top 3 Christmas movies. What are yours?? Comment and let me know!!

A Chocolate Affair

One of the great things about being a blogger is being able to attend a wide spectrum of events. I love meeting new people and experiencing new things. Another great thing about being a blogger that also is a photographer, is being asked to capture the experience of events. I believe this has become my niche lately. I really try to make the reader feel as if they attended by seeing my photos.

Last Friday, I was contacted to be the photographer for a Christmas party for International Paper hosted by Phillip Ashley. Any excuse to have Phillip Ashley's chocolate is all it takes for me to gladly accept. I also knew this would be a great event to network as well.

The Experience

The event was held at Opera Memphis, which is an absolutely beautiful venue! It was a small holiday party, but the guests were very fun.

The Chocolates

Now this is what I came for! I can't get enough of Phillip Ashley's bite sized creations. I must admit that I am addicted. Are there meetings for this type of thing?

As you can see, it was a great holiday party! I left with only one concern; I should have went home with more chocolate!
